It is a very great idea to take baby photos when they are still very small and before the irreversible moments are lost forever. Such photos will help to keep memories alive. Do not forget that the great postures and images do disappear very quickly. You should seek to get them captured before they slip away.
It can be fun taking baby photos. By the time you think of how the pictures will help to keep memories alive. But it can also be very challenging to take a perfect portrait of your baby. Babies are easily distracted; they also do not maintain the same posture and composure for a long time. One moment, they may be their laughing selves and the next moment, they may be their crying and wailing selves. It then requires lots of hard work before one can catch the good moods in a befitting picture. Through this write up, you are going to learn about how to perfectly take pictures of your babies in their most wonderful moments.
Prepare before hand
In order to be able to take baby photos perfectly enough, you need to be prepared ahead. Get your camera at the ready. You should never wait till the baby is smiling or laughing before you get your camera ready. By the time the camera is out of its pouch, the mood of the baby could have changed; that will tell how highly short-lived the moods of babies can be. After you must have made all the necessary settings, let the camera be at standby; pending the time the mood of the baby will be right for the exposure.
As a beginner in photography, you can start with aperture priority and the camera will automatically select shutter speed when the baby is ready for the shot.
Look out for the right time
Before hand, you should know when your baby is at its best mood. You should have studied the baby to know when it normally smiles or cries. You can therefore prepare the exposure for this particular time. You should have everything ready for this particular time. Some babies may be at their best moods immediately after a meal. Watch out for such a time to take the baby photos
Stay close to make things perfect
While you are taking the baby photos, you should not stay too far from the baby. Stay as close as possible so that the baby’s image can fill the frame of the photo. This will make the facial expression that you intentionally want to capture to be as bold and clear as possible. Don’t take the picture from a higher level from the baby. The perfect baby photo will be the one taken at the same eye level with the baby.
Conclusion
Anything that will divert attention from the baby should be removed from the picture. Make sure that the only attention grabbing object is the baby and no other thing.
Considering the importance of baby photos, they need to be taken with utmost care and expertise.

You've seen the scary demon-eye effect that occurs when the camera flash bounces off the eye of someone or pet. An otherwise fantastic picture can be trashed by this. Technically, this is named red-eye and can occur when the pupil of your subject’s eye is wide open and the light from the camera’s flash reflects off the subjects retina. In people, the color ends up red; in pets, the color is typically green.
