Surpasses Expectations – Waterproof Digital Camera Review

This make it difficult to take a one handed shot. The body is VERY SLIPPERY and no texture to help with your grip.

Rinsed off the saltwater and took it to the mountains for the long shots. It is small enough for a pocket and great for hiking and backpacking – no worries on dropping.

The camera worked fine, but after it ran out of batteries and I charged it a few days ago, the camera stopped working. All it will do is attempt to turn on (the screen flashes “Olympus”) but then the screen goes dark and appears on, but completely black, no menu, no image, nothing.

I needed something durable and small for taking pictures while out with my toddler. This camera has been through the ringer already when she plays with it! Olympus clearly has poor quality control and I would not recommend them to anyone. I bought this for vacation to Mexico. I followed the guide given with the camera to help maintain and check for the waterproof feature and water got behind the screen and inside the lens.

I wanted a camera to take in snorkeling and also one that I was not worried about getting wet if caught out in a rain shower. I have a Canon DSLR, but did not want to spend hundreds more for an underwater housing. I returned it. Don’t buy one, you’ll regret it.

Hey, if you have it on macro, of course the picture will be blurry, if you’re taking a picture of the sunset…learn how the camera works before giving it a horrible review. The pictures come out great, as long as you have all the right settings. I look forward to seeing how well it takes pictures underwater and will be trying this feature later next month I don’t think I have ever used a point and click camera that does such a great job with the focus and images being so crisp as well. If you are looking for a great little camera that you don’t need a PHD to use I’ve gone through many cameras over the years and I absolutely love this one! There are three options for the push to shoot button. There is one photo per click. Admittedly, I have not tried this one underwater even though I’ve had it for a year now, but I do take it with me to concerts, friends’ sporting events, etc. Sometimes I get amazing photos, but other times they come out blurry (especially in low light). It also has incredible lag time from when you hit the button to take a photo & when it actually decides to go ahead & shoot. This is highly frustrating because you end up missing tons of moments you’ll never get back (such as your friends getting married).

I do however with there was a view finder so taking pictures in the dark would be easier. This is my second stylus water proof camera. I was just surprised how the quality of the pictures turned out so bad. Great camera for what I wanted.

I also love how easy this camera is to use- my dad bought the new Canon underwater camera for our California trip, and he spent the better portion of every killer moment trying to adjust his settings or figure out which button to push. negative film scanner.
