You take a lot of pictures but when it comes down to putting them into albums what do you do? It’s great to make scrapbooks but sometimes you don’t know where to begin. How do you sort out all the cute snaps you have taken? Well here are a few scrapbook ideas to get you started.
Children’s Books: From babies to teenagers you can sort out your photos by age and by child. If you have baby photos you can make a baby scrapbook. Up to the teen years you can sort your photos by individual child and make them their own book. It is a keepsake that you’ll be able to share with them in the future.
Family Trips: Whether it’s a day trip or a two week vacation, a vacation scrapbook is lots of fun to make. If you a frequent visitor to one place, you can make an exclusive scrapbook for that destination. Once you have your photos together, you can decide if the photos will fill up a whole book. If not, make a day trip book that you can add to. A book of “life at the park” could be a theme for all those shots at a local park.
Christmas: Old and new photos can be added each year to a family Christmas scrapbook. It will be fun to look back on as your family grows. It can also include New Year’s celebrations or you could make a separate book for that. You can also make a separate holiday scrapbook for other holidays such as Easter and Halloween.
School Books: As with the children’s books you can catalog each year of your children in school with their own personal book filled with papers, awards and pictures. Scrapbook companies make special holders for most items to store securely for years to come – or you can scan them in and make digital scrapbooks (that really saves space!). Kids like to help make these books too. Let them help you so it has their own personal stamp on it.
Event Books: A theater lover or a sports fanatic can create a scrapbook from pictures, programs and tickets collected. It can be a great place to store all of these mementos to look back on in the future. This is also great is you have a family member who plays a certain sport every season or an adult on a team.
Extended Family and Friends: If you receive a lot of pictures of extended family and gifts of photos from friends you can create a dedicated scrapbook for them as well. As you receive them you can add them into the scrapbook and keep them in one place to view whenever you want to.
Extra Pictures: Double prints are great to put into a mini album and give to others as gifts. Every grandparent will appreciate this gift of their grandchildren over the years. And having a mini album means they can take it with them to show off their grandchildren to friends.
