It seems like just about everyone has a cell phone camera these days that can snap images of just about anything in a matter of moments. Working with digital pictures instead of the traditional film and paper print photos is cost-effective, there is no used paper to end up in the garbage and they take up almost no physical space at all!
And what is better than just snapping lots of digital photos is the fun way you can share them with other people. There are many different ways to share your photos, from digital picture frames to printing them out to storing them on your PDA. Whether you are a professional photographer or an amateur camera user you’ll still appreciate the convenience of digital photography.
One of the growing ways to share your photographs to others is by publishing a photo blog. A “web log” or blog is a website that allows an writer to post instant updates onto World Wide Web about just about any topic imaginable. A photo blog can feature the digital photographs you took on any specific day or trip. You can include comments about your photographs and you can inform people about why you took the photos and where you were when you took them.
Most blogging sites are easy to get started with. To begin a photo blog you just need to find some no cost blogging sites and pick a blog name. You simply type your ideas out in a post, insert your digital photographs from your camera and the blogging site pretty much does the rest. When you are satisfied with a post you “publish” it and anyone on the internet can instantly read it!
With a photography web log you can not only share your photos with others but you can also allow visitors to write comments on your posts. If you allow comments on your images then you can also discover what other people like and don’t like about your images. Getting feedback from visitors to your web log is part of the fun of putting your images online.
You can post a bunch of images of a trip to Florida one day and then post photos of some grass in your back yard the next day. Remember not to worry about always writing a post that’s going to make other people happy. It is your photography blog and you can put up photos of whatever you like. Just try to have fun with the ability to share your electronic images so quickly with your own blog!
